1. Q: what is main diff between bd-h6500(2014) and bd-j7500(2015)?
A: Besides both being the flagship Blu-Ray players for their respective years, the BD-J7500 has discrete 7.1 output settings for surround sound options, as well as upconverts to UHD standards. If you have a UHD television, or plan on one, the BD-J7500 would be the more appropriate model to pair up with a UHD TV.
2. Q: What receiver would this be best with? My Onyko is more than 20 years old.
A: A receiver with Hdmi input(s) for sound is the best match as this will provide the best quality audio. Since there are 2 Hdmi outputs on this blu-Ray player, you can use the Hdmi main output directly to your tv and the Hdmi sub output to your receiver. If your receiver has no Hdmi input but has an optical input connection, that will also work for a sound connection. The player has no coaxial output jack.
3. Q: Does the streaming feature completely replace a Roku?
A: It can perform many of the functions a Roku box can, and provides a great HD or UHD additional to your television.

A: Samsung televisions support active-3D, but the 3-D player will work with both active and passive 3D.
